背景
美國 Ivy League（長春藤/常春藤聯盟）是指美國東岸的八所私立頂尖大學聯盟，包括哈佛大學（Harvard University）、耶魯大學（Yale University）、普林斯頓大學（Princeton University）、哥倫比亞大學（Columbia University）、布朗大學（Brown University）、達特茅斯學院（Dartmouth College）、康奈爾大學（Cornell University）和賓夕法尼亞大學（University of Pennsylvania）；另還有麻省理工學院（MIT）、史丹福大學（Stanford University）、各所加州大學（Universities of California）等等，這些大學在美國及全球享有極高的聲譽，被認為是美國最頂尖的學術機構之一。
