UCL – 相信大家對這個名都不陌生，UCL與牛津大學、劍橋大學並列G5大學之一，是英國一間提供全方位課程的名牌大學。根據最新的 QS世界大學排名2026 及 2026年 Times Higher Education世界大學排名，UCL分別名列全球第9名同第22名，環觀全世界而言，亦都是備受認證的頂級學府。作為全能型大學，UCL在多個科目穩居QS世界前十，例如教育、建築及建設環境、考古學、解剖學及生理學、人類學、地理學、生命科學與醫學、藥學與藥理學、心理學等（部分科目更長期位列全球第一）。
UCL除了以其出色的學術成績聞名外，其與英國各大機構建立的網絡更是為學生提供更難得的實習及就業機會。學校每年舉行的Spring Week 都會有不少大型機構參與，學生可以通過這次機會獲得其他院校學生未必得到的頂尖機構實習機會！

Is it really that hard to get into UCL?
作為英國名牌大學，「收生門欄高」應該是普遍大眾對UCL的印象，但其實要入讀UCL沒大家想像中這般難。UCL某些科目最低收生門欄是ABB（A-level分數）、39分（IB）、相等於HKDSE 555或以上（視科目而定）。例如學校長期排行全球第一的科目「教育」，收生成績可以低至ABB；熱門科目「城市規劃」或建築相關都只需要最少AAB或以上就可以入讀。只要同學有策略地挑選科目，要入讀UCL並非難事。
除了UG學位外，入讀PG學位門欄同樣沒大家想像中高。雖然UCL的PG學位通常優先考慮二等一級榮譽畢業（2:1），但其實都有不少個案的同學仔是以二等二級榮譽畢業（2:2）的成績，加上強勁個人陳述或相關經驗成功入讀。

想申請UCL的同學仔，在遞交 UCAS 申請的時候絕對不可以馬虎，UCAS隨時成為你成敗得失的關鍵！UCAS的申請入面必須包含推薦信、預測成績、個人陳述、相關經歷及獎項紀錄等。推薦信同個人陳述是大學最重點留意的兩份文件，所以同學在這兩份文件的準備上可以多下苦工，增加成功被錄取的機會！
Is it easier to get into UCL by taking the International Exam than by taking the DSE?
The answer is "yes"! Regardless of what UK university you wanted to apply for, the entry requirements for DSE candidates are definitely higher than other international exams. Compared to other exams, UCL has higher requirements when examining DSE students. There is a case of a student who scored only 20 points in DSE, but he chose to switch to A-level for one year and finally succeeded in getting into UCL!
